NEW IPA PROJECT COMMITTEES “TO REPLACE ‘SCHOOL DISPUTES’ WITH ENQUIRY”

Last December Charles Hanly announced the formation of 3 new Project Committees to address definitively some of the significant challenges which face IPA Members:
1. The Project Committee on Conceptual Integration will seek to identify the concepts and principles at the root of theoretical disputes which result in the formation of different schools in psychoanalysis.
2. The Project Committee on Clinical Observation will refine the criteria for reliability of clinical observations made in the course of ordinary clinical work.
3. Funding for Work Groups can be made available on application to the New Initiatives Funding Committee.
