Mexico Congress: Call for Proposals now open
The Call for Proposals for the IPA Mexico City Congress in August 2011 is now open. The title is “Exploring Core Concepts: Sexuality, Dreams and the Unconscious”.

IPA Asia Conference – ‘Early Bird’ registration
closes on 31 May
IPA Members and IPA Candidates can still register for the IPA’s first conference in Asia at the discounted ‘Early Bird’ rate. The event ‘Freud and Asia’ will take place in Beijing from 21 to 24 October 2010.
Early-Bird prices start from $350 (IPA Members) and $220 (IPA Candidates)

Thomas Ogden wins Haskell Norman Prize
IPA Member Thomas Ogden has been awarded the 2010 Haskell Norman Prize for Excellence in Psychoanalysis. This prize is awarded biennially to an analyst who has achieved excellence as a theoretician or as a teacher or clinician or as a contributor to applied psychoanalysis.
The award committee describes Ogden as “a powerful contributor to our understanding of the complex relationship that develops between analyst and patient, leading to the possibility of new growth and mutual self-understanding.” For more about the Haskell Norman Prize click here
